There are many tools that the modern ghosthunter has at his disposal, both paranormal and scientific.

Today we shall be looking at the Ouija board. Its something we've all heard about, people saying in an all mystifying voice “oh be careful...”


The Ouija Board is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, the sometimes words such as 'yes' and 'no'. Its primary function is as a medium for communicating with ghosts or spirits, some even believe demons! In a séance participants would place a finger on a 'planchette' and would be guided by a spirit to spell out a message.

Now we've all heard horror stories about how dangerous the Ouija Board is and heard all the warnings, but I can assure you that they are all completely true... At a ghost hunt I was on recently the lady leading the séance was whipped in the face by a spirit! But don't let that put you off!

Have you ever used a Ouija board, been to a Seance, or communicated with the other side?

I've always wanted to get into doing Ouija Boards but with someone, i'm too much of a scaredy cat to do it alone.

You can use a pendulum to speak to the other side too. Unlike the ouija board you can use a pendulum to speak to ghosts by yourself. The ouija board requires at least two participants.

i found out the hard way how ghost where real by using the Ouija board i have done it three times and lets just say i am done with it.

i found out about the Ouija board through by cousin and took it upon my self to play it with my friends who have never played or heard of it either.
i put my hand on the board and the glass cup we use when flying of the Ouija board and hit the wall but didn't shatter.
there was a couple more times but there long story's. all i know is im done with Ouija boards

The Ouija board is in my opinion a dangerous and useful tool to have in your arsenal. My biggest concern with them are that you are opening up your home or where ever you are at at the time to more than what you are expecting. That last sentence may sound a little strange but what I mean is, lets say you are trying to communicate with a specific spirit. That doesn't sound too bad because you know who you are trying to contact. Well there is no guarantee that you will actually be in contact with that spirit when the contact takes place. For all you know that could be a demon who has knowledge of what answers you are looking for. With that being said PLEASE Take Proper Precautions When Using the Ouija Board. One Simple Precaution would be to use it in a neutral place, a place that you have no ties too. DO NOT USE IT AT YOUR HOME OR ANYONE'S HOME YOU CARE ABOUT !!! other than that Enjoy Experimenting.  

more good things then bad things come out of a Ouija board and i beleave that's a fact. 2/3 times ive gotten a bad spirit, one of the times we saw shadows in my friends house for numerous days so my opinion on it don't mess with it. it opens up a door to spirits playing the Ouija board is like telling the spirits come at me bro! because you are now fully vulnerable plus you can also get possessed by a demon while practicing the Ouija board because they can lie and say there a good spirit

I've never used it. I'm not in for these type of things without someone more experienced can guide me throughout the session.

well i was told by a local priest that when you start doing this ouija thing you become a magnet of spirits and the spirit that was near will come to talk with you, but the spirits that come are not always good ones and if a bad one comes you can easily get possessed. he knows this because he assisted to an exorcism and then they found out that the girl that was possessed had played ouija and they assumed it was the reason.

see, there are many examples of stories like that in our culture. The Ouija board gets a lot of stigma for being linked to dark spirits or the devil or some other hocus pocus but I have never had a bad experience with it.

lol Ouija board for me is like don't pass go and do not collect 200 dollars

From my experience the ouija board is just like a door if you open it with out knowing what to expect than you get something you dont expect. Its not necessarily bad spirits or demons its simply the unexpected.

Only used the Ouija board a couple of times.. Never had a bad experience with it.

Earthly_Realm ..... Well my suggestion would be look up everything you can on the subject. Than make a mental note of each different situation that has been described. Than ponder the possibilities of what could happen, after that take the most ridiculous thought you can come up with of what could conceivably happen just to make sure not to rule it out, and that would be a good start....

I would say what you need is to know exactly what you want to do, who you are going to speak to and what you are going to ask them. Don't invite strangers into your home, you wouldn't do that in real life would you. Just like in real life you don't know who they are, they could be murderers or rapists or anything!

lol i don't mess with the occult i wouldn't do it i had a friend who had a demon latched onto him and he asked for a specific family member to talk to that was dead. if you must do it though wear a cross for protection and light white candles it would also help to say a prayer or two. holy water could be sprinkled on the board but they would go a little overboard.

I've done this a few years back. Room temperature turned from normal to startling cold. Think I heard doors banged twice. I was alone in the house so I nearly shat my own pants.

I did a Ouija Board once with a lot of people. Nothing really happened.

Just heard the news. Some parents went worried because their kids have been having mental trouble since one day of school. The parents took them to doctors and such and they found no signs of mental disturbance. The next day one of the teachers who saw them told their parents that these kids have been playing with the ouija board lately. So it has come clear that these kids had bad results with it. When I heard this on the news it scared the hell out of me! But yeah, never try something spiritual if you have no knowlege of it. Kids these days.

Wait, so they have mental problems for no reason? What's the cause?! If there is no reasoning to it, it can be cured right? It's not permanent...

I did it today. No bad result. Not looking forward to that either. Just have to stay respectful.
