What does the bible have to say about psychics? Is practicing clairvoyance and psychic powers against Christianity? I get these kind of questions almost every day on my YouTube channel. People often accuse me of being a Satanist or say that I sold my soul to the devil for telekinesis powers. Contrary to popular belief I am not the Antichrist...

It is a sticky question though. Some people who believe in the baby Jesus have asked me whether training in telekinesis or clairvoyance is a sin. The bible doesn't really do much to answer this question. The are examples in the bible where psychic powers are used by the 'heroes', the prophets, gods chosen ones or whatever and are lauded as miracles.

One of the earliest mentioned in the bible is the story of a man named Saul who visited a spirit medium in order to contact the deceased former King Samuel. His advisers found him a woman medium who was able to summon the spirit of Samuel and communicate with him 'on the other side'. She was able to relay information from one to the other.

Or Joseph, who had what was known as a dream coat. In the story there are many examples of Joseph experiencing precognitive dreams and being able to predict the future. In his dream state he was able to see clues regarding the future. Some times these came in an abstract form and needed to be deciphered. His precognitive dreams included one showing the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowing down to him. He later went on to become a chief adviser for the Pharaoh of Egypt of that time.

Yet there are parts where it damns those who practice the occult:

“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God."
Leviticus 19:31

“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
Leviticus 20:6

“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”
Leviticus 20:27


As with many things the bible seems a little confused on the subject. When Jesus speaks to the astrally projected souls of the prophets, Moses and Abraham it is a miracle. Yet when a man in a hole in the desert does it its a sin and he will burn in hell forever and die a millions deaths over and over again blah blah blah. You know.

So draw your own conclusion...

The bible seems to be all over the place. While I don't go against anyone who is christians infact one of my best friends is christian and it's a bit funny she's accepting over me but anyone else who does it she wouldn't approve but i guess that's true friendship right haha. But in my opinion it seems over the years people have put stories of miracles together in the bible to make their own religion out of it while there are some true factual things in it, there isn't really enough background to really shape a religion in it that wasn't made up or total bull. I've unvoluntarily gotten into fights with some christians before about their beliefs (only because they wanted to sit and lecture me about right and wrong and that christianity is the way of life), in all honestly it seems they're even confused themselves. They try to take facts from the bible but when their facts are countered they just get silent so it seems to me that there really isn't much background for the bible to go off at all in a way as if it's only half done. Hopefully no one found this too offensive if you're christian or not it's really just my opinion not saying it's right in any shape or form ^.^.

I have a friend that uses pentagrams for dark magic xD, i've never used one personally

i beleive that when the bible was written back in the mosiac era. you know both testaments people had the understanding of these abilities.. some of which beleived they where gifts from the lord above and some beleived they where curses from satan himself. personally i beleive god gave us the gift of using our mind and spiritual power to do things like i dont know pyrokinesis or asterokinesis. for instance ive used astral projection to visit god himself..i wont go into detail i dont think anyone would care to hear it anyway . i do beleive the usage of the 3rd eye (penial gland) was granted by god when adam and eve where created but over time people started to beleive it was sorcery or witch craft and those people where executed. for doing such acts.. i once asked myself if it was sinful to do it. but god showed me it wasnt all that bad. i conclude it is not sinful unless you dont derive it from god.. if youre all by the evil lord satan i command you etc etc.. then its a sin but if your all .. but the father almighty maker of all things visible and invisible i command you.. etc etc... so there you go..straight from a christian

The bible was the main cause of sending people to burn at the stake. (Poland, France, Germany, England, America) Also, I'm more than likely going to get burned for this..but the bible didn't always exist. Religion in general has been known to cause division in society and been used to manipulate in major world wars. There's also a thing called perception as well that can cause people to interpret the books words however they want to cause it isn't written in a straightforward manner.

Only 9 million? Waaaaaaay more. Probably about 100 times that amount.
