sadly no . what John Chang practiced is a kind of nei gong(internal art) from Mo Pai sect. Tai chi is a internal martial art for health and longevity.

Interesting...please send me some links to read about nei gong particularly Mo Pai school of thought, which make sense to you. They seems to have the authority on the elements. They must have the correct order and symbols to be able to do so.
I have tried some of the Golden Dawn on earth elements but just as an experience to the gate.
Please also share if you dont mind your experience on elements.
