| This is a minor topic, but because I searched around and found nothing about the mudras and meditation positions, so I made this one. Of course, if this topic is in the wrong place or was already discussed in a topic I missed, I apologize and hope you can help it move or something so it doesn't interfere. Anyways... I this topic is about the mudra positions for meditation and if anybody use them. I am specifically asking about the hand ones, but any other position should also work =w= If you don't know what's a mudra, here's a brief summary: mudras are body positions that influence in some way your inner energy. Hand positions are the most common ones, but obviously the whole body can also assume a position when meditating. This is a nice site that gives a whole summary about the mudras: http://www.eclecticenergies.com/mudras/introduction.phpAnd this is also a nice list that shows some hand mudras: http://www.eclecticenergies.com/mudras/indexemotional.phpAnd this one deals directly with chakra mudras: http://www.eclecticenergies.com/chakras/open.phpI've been using the most common one, the muladhara mudra, and I kinda feel the energy growing stronger in the red chakra and the heat running through my fingers, but it's been recent, so I also want to know if you, guys, tend to meditate with the hand mudras and if have you felt something different. And also, what are other body poses (aside of the lotus flower as I believe it is the most common one) that you recommend. I also ask this because yesterday I meditated with a healing-hand meditation track and it recommended me to lay down, and it was REALLY different than the common lotus position. It had its pros and cons, but I want to hear your opinion, guys =w= |

| @R9: TROLOLOLOOOOOOL! It must be a lightning rod of sorts *SHOT*. I would use that mudra during a meditation just to see what happens... I wonder if any spirit watching would get offended 8P |

it doesn't matter of the mudra, I gusse the prob is my breahing way and the visualization of how energy flowing from root to crown chakra, I may need to focus on let consciousness stay at sailor plexus chakra instead of focus on 3rd eye. |
