It's a simple question really. Almost all cultures around the world have a version of Hell or an underworld of sorts. I would love to hear what you guys picture hell to be like.

Flames, and only full with non-human entities. Human entities who suffered a bad life will go to a lower dimension but will remain visible in this one. Anyways, I always picture it as flames and a lake of mist(spirits)

A Muslim friend of mine said that the deepest part of hell is reserved for hypocrites and that area will be filled with scholars.

There is one "king" of hell, who decide when will people dead, well... hard to explain... I think that essalove know more about that than me XD

in islam theres 7 layers of hell. deepest part is called jahanam. description in quran says its hotter than the sun. but im no specialist in quranic interpretations

In the ancient Greek mythology your life is represented by a piece of string, which when cut causes you to die. Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos were the three 'fates'.



Clotho would spin the string that represented the life of a living being; Lachesis would measure its length to determine the length of that being's life, and Atropos, the eldest, would cut it when the time was right, thus ending with that being's life.

I find the different layers interesting because someone who had an NDE went to hell and was on top of a ledge, below were evil people. But the guy said that Satan looked like Sully, from monsters Inc. And other people have had different experiences, so... yeah...

i imagine hell to be a world without music, but in the afterlife all your worst nightmares coming true burning for centuries upon centuries without a drop of water your soul would be tormented my the scortching hot pitch fork of lucifer himself begging for mercy

I would imagine it being a realm of your worst fears.

Muslims also say that if you go to hell there is also possibility that you can get to heaven when you have suffered enough.

If there really is hell, I think everybody has different kind of hell. Place where you're personal worst nightmares come true. Suffering is not always physical.

Hell is an allegory for the Base Chakra which is red and burns like fire, the earth is sometimes reffered to as hell being like a giant base chakra for the human race. The underworld depiction of hell, i believe, to be were souls go if they didnt complete the raising the kundalini aka reaching Godhead/Enlightenment. so its like a waiting area for reincarnation i believe

Maybe it's because they can't remember or they wasn't allowed to remember what was life after death. Like people say you always see dreams when you sleep but can't always remember them. Other reason could be that they weren't supposed to die so they stayed at some kind of space between life and death.

I would think someone who is skilled at astral projection and has a more active or fully opened third eye, would experience more in death and possibly navigate in the spirit world easier opposed to someone without the before mentioned attributes.

As you navigate the astral plane, hell is a place filled with feelings of fear, sorrow, despair, etc. Confusion and traveling without courage and light, may lead you to these obscure places. Daemons and projections of bane that are created by mind, they are sustained by the psychical output of individuals. As you find yourself in these realms, summon your purity, for no violence can put down daemons, when pain and vengeance is seek, pain and vengeance is feed upon them. So i tried to fight once a deamon, so he would grow and grow to untamed levels. Summon Shiva, the auspicious one, the consciousness of graceful change, bring them forth transformation, do not destroy them, banish their energy from existence by transmuting darkness to light. Daemons are filled with untruth and their mental beings suffer by this perpetual state of confusion. Bring them compassion of transformation, learn the lessons they couldn't to bring them light.

Well there is no hell or heaven , it's only our thoughts and imaginations create these things to punish us for what we did really but when one does believe in hell then it truly is terrifying , i can say that you can escape it if there is help from this world

Zen Story: Heaven and Hell

Hakuin, the fiery and intensely dynamic Zen master, was once visited by a samurai warrior.

“I want to know about heaven and hell,” said the samurai. “Do they really exist?” he asked Hakuin.
Hakuin looked at the soldier and asked, “Who are you?”

“I am a samurai,” announced the proud warrior.

“Ha!” exclaimed Hakuin. “What makes you think you can understand such insightful things? You are merely a callous, brutish soldier! Go away and do not waste my time with your foolish questions,” Hakuin said, waving his hand to drive away the samurai.

The enraged samurai couldn’t take Hakuin’s insults. He drew his sword, readied for the kill, when Hakuin calmly retorted, “This is hell.”

The soldier was taken aback. His face softened. Humbled by the wisdom of Hakuin, he put away his sword and bowed before the Zen Master.

“And this is heaven,” Hakuin stated, just as calmly.
