It's a pretty good concept here. Ninjas indeed focused strictly on their stealth. Using their way of walking, walking among walls, crawling and parkour to adapt to their surroundings. It's possible by "touching" other minds inducing the telepathy command "We're not here, ignore us.".

This should work on similar basis as it was explained in The Lacerta Files:
