Title says it all. What do you think about spiritual materialism? It is a term used in the book Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism and means the controversy that rose in the modern society. Examples: the need to go to a holy place for peace, the need for objects of power, paying for spiritual lessons ect. These are not bad and they can of course benefit us. But we also need to be aware that peace and happiness relies within ourselves. We are the ones that need to reflect and take action ourselves and we will do all the things we believe these materialistic approach make us achieve. But spiritual materialism is mainstream and we might not even notice it.
