| Hi there! I hope I am in the correct place. If not, I apologize and feel free to move this topic where it belongs.
Anyways, I would like to ask if somebody has read certain authors who deal with the esoteric topics and similar books. For example, Helena Blavatsky's The Secret Doctrine, which deals with the occult through the Buddhism, Hinduism, etcetera. I recently discovered this author and I was wondering if the book is worth the time, as it is three volumes long and doesn't deal entirely with psychic forces, but rather philosophies, or so I understand.
Also, I wanted to know if anybody recommends some good psychic manuals and books that explain how can you enhance your inner power and which serve as written guides for meditation and the stuff. I have wanted to read one, but I would like to know if there are more recommended titles over others.
Thanks a bunch for reading and the help, in advance! |

| Helena Blavatsky is a really important person in the history of Psychics. Shes a founding member of the order of the Golden Dawn.

| @Mark Mauvais: Goodness, thanks a bunch for the link! I have readed some Plato's works, but I was curious about the one who dealt about Atlantis. I always thought it was an imaginary city that Plato made up to explain an hypothetical state... Now I wonder the possibilities.
@Fischer: Goodness! There was already a books thread...?! *Looks around. Finds it*. Oh Sweet Jesus. So sorry! I started this thread because I thought there wasn't any dealing with books that helped with psychic training. So sorry ;^; |

| Oh indeed! I read it all. Such a pity that the dialogue is incomplete, though ;^; I would have liked to hear what Zeus did to the Atlanteans in the end ;P |

| Is it as if somebody thought it would be a good idea to burn/destroy/lose the last part, walk away and think it wouldn't be a bad idea! , Bah! Just with the Mayan and Aztec codex collections... I bet one of them could have spoken of other supernatural stuff, especially because they had a philosophy that dealt directly with the energies and the essence of stuff... All the good stuff ended up burned! ._. |

| Nice mention m.fischer. I need to look for it. I saw one in the store a few weeks ago called Adventures of the Soul by James Van Praagh(he's on youtube). I read through it but it almost everything we already know. You could check it out though. |
