| Resources had to be the main advantage. There would be a whole world worth of gold, silver and pther precious metals yet to be mined. I almost said oil, but oil is decayed plant and animal matter, which may or may not have existed on Mars. |

| in its current state i believe mars has unlimited potential through the use of terra forming we could slowly make mars a hospitible place slowly plus it is a common theory that the martian people who didnt leave for atlantis or egypt went under ground |

| Have you guys seen the original Total Recall? In that there is an alien technology which melts the ice on Mars and creates oxygen for the people to breathe. |
