it just means 'stop being attached to superficial reality' because the fundamental reality is what matters most. However, whilst you should not be attached to the superficial materials like money, you should not give up your life or your principles in this superficial reality because this superficial reality has its own purpose - this world was created for a reason; nothing exists without a reason.

there is no denying how closley related buddhas and jesus' teachings are though

I heared that Jesus went to became a buddhist during the years he was missing and when he came back to Jerusalem. We can't know for sure if it's true though but that's my theory of how he became so wise and enlightened out of sudden.

no one is to know for sure, but a fact is that he traveled upwards past jerusalem and as far down as the sudan and possibly downwards of south africa during his travels and learning as a child and teen records show the holy grail traveled through the area and so did christ so anything is possible but your usual close minded christians will tell you jesus stayed around egypt and jerusalem i think in his travels back to JR the lord started showing him the final years and what he has to do and shown his power through christ

It is true that Jesus traveled around the world but modern bibles opted words stating that as well as books in the old testament that was deemed unnecessary and this is why I don't buy newer and more modern bibles with the dancing Jesus cover and what not.

I think people misunderstood when Jesus said 'God is our spiritual father' as he was the only son of God.
