I've done basic karate but then stop because my mother couldn't afford paying too many courses. I'm doing fencing now for already 3 years. My favorite martial arts are Asian ones and karate. I like calm martial arts. I can do a karate chop perfectly though. I never forgot how to do it. Although I simply can't do it without shouting. You have to shout to give yourself the energy required.

Nice . So tai chi is not just energy manipulations but martial arts as well. I would say QiGong now. Since there are some self defense in it as well including pressure points.

Done Kendo for 6-7 years since I was 11 or 12. Then took a break for several years for tertiary degrees and I started Iaido this year all by myself at home based on the basics I learned in Kendo and YouTube videos (gosh YouTube has everything!! lol)
It's only been 3 days but since I discovered my telekinetic ability, I sense that my sword feels different - feels like more wind is generated when wielding the sword. Hopefully, I will be able to create some really sharp energy around my sword or even throw some energy to a distant target by wielding it, I only read it in fantasy novels lol

i practice... wing chun - a fighting style that requires more speed then strength. tai chi - which is about relaxation, meditation, and chi control. dim mak - which is about targeting pressure points. i just started dim mak, slowly learning and trying to fuse it with wing chun.

Have any of you looked into escrima? I'm basically not much at hand to hand(I do know how to defend myself though) but I can be good with swords. I basically love every sword fighting styles and the swords themselves. The only sword fighting stile I'm used to is the modern and classical fencing style. I started training the escrima sword styles though with my stick. I'm really looking forward to buying a katana for myself or one of those swords.

Ooh, 2 swords. Katana and Wakizashi are for Japanese swordsmanship, although you are free to choose your own weapons and skills. Given the length, Wakizashi might work for Escrima.
Not exactly great fighters but worthwhile to watch.
This guy is the man of Katana.
Also, Kendo is not exactly designed for sports rather than a real fight so Iaido the way to go.
Two swords Kendo. They can be super fast although I don't think it is as practical as one might think.

Tai chi - very good things to feel the energy flowing inside your body and control it.
Most of people learning to control the energy outside the body, but they don't know that the energy inside your body (know as calories) is very strong, if you can't use all of your energy inside your body, it will change into fat and make your health worst, so this exercise will decrease the fat inside your body, but also increase health.
Don't forget the breath!
Tai chi just like meditations when doing exercise, the main things is the same with normal meditation is "Relax your mind, relax your muscle, relax everything, every moves of your body are flowing, just like 'chi' "
P/s: To refill and increase energys in your body, I recommended more calories foods.
