I'm practicing TK myself (and hello, I'm new). I've been going at it for about maybe a month and can get a psiwheel in a sealed jar to spin, just can't control it's direction nor speed inside the jar yet.

Wow, I wish I can move a psiwheel inside a jar too, I hope I'll be able to reach your level soon

I just do what the alien dude said to do. I used to not be able to move a psiwheel at all, then after reading and apply what he said and getting an understanding of what he called it's mechanics, I took his advise, put it inside a jar and just worked with it inside the jar instead. Got it to wobble the first day inside the jar.

I'd pour through what he's wrote. I personally subscribe to his website via an RSS feed so I get to see what he posts as he posts it because it's super helpful.
