What if we have no souls and our conscious minds is just a constantly active brain. What if we are not our consciousness but our actual bodies. It's interesting to think about because we want such feelings of self, we want to know what we are, but it'd hard to define. What if your conscious thought is just your brain and body. What if there's no identification of 'self'? You are your body, which is your skin, which is your molecules, which is everything. Instead of no self we are actually everything and you only define yourself as 'self' when in human form, as no other animal is known to have self-awareness. This thought may go against your belief system, but it definitely is an interesting thought as it is.

Like the saying 'No one have ever died and come back to tell the story'. So far OBEs are based on what state we are in. It can be bad if your in a negative mood and good when you're positive. It's really interesting indeed. What if all we ever thought about death is wrong? We just die and that's it..? Can be both true and false. The common idea of the afterlife is something we as humans came up with different personal theories because(admit it or not) at the moment of death we will all experience at least a little form of fear. Only some people break through this by realizing there is nothing to be afraid of about death. When we die there are no more worries, no more bills, nothing. We either just die or live in an afterlife. When you think of it both sounds peaceful.

Unless the death is not natural.

You said either we die or live in an afterlife, and that both sound peaceful. That makes me think. We can either live forever or hardly at all, though both are peaceful. I dunno it's strange. Though, there is proof that something exists, as shown by existence itself, yet no proof that nothing exists.

I wouldn't like to lose my consciousness at all personally, I prefer the afterlife theory.

I guess it depends on how we define "soul".

By "everything" do you mean all the molecules, not just the molecules of this human body?

Do you mean that we are everything, as in all the bodies, molecules, atoms, empty space? And that we sort of classify only the subset that is within the bounds of the human body as our "self"?

Having no soul would mean we have no energy system and that completely contradicts what we do here.

There are two theories relating to this matters. one: we are nothing, our true self is nothingness, which is the universe in a state of no activity, represented by chantings such as AUM, OM. The only realoty is the nothingness; everything esle is calles maya, and illusion. Real identity is loosing the self and the desires and thoughts and feeling bounded to the self. In such a view we are everything, while we are nothing. We have been everything so that we understand the everything, and then become nothingness.
On second view we are everything, our true self is the true one unity, which is the universe in any of its forms. Real identity is achieved by gaining attachment, or identification wiith the univeral values that are beyond the human realm (i.e Unstrocken, unbounded, invincible, immortal, without form, or color, or karma or destiny). In this view we are souls or atman, that detached form the great unity and became restricted by maya. We are fractals of god; checkpoints for the feedback of god about the experience of peculiarities of its wholeness.
