Any jazz and blues fans here?
I like some old school jazz and blues like Django Reinhardt, Miles Davis, Robert Johnson, etc
But mostly I like jazz crossover genres like jazzcore and fusiogrind where they mix hardcore punk, metal, jazz and grindcore.

My dad wants me to learn Jazz on guitar so I can join Jazz Band in school.

I've learn many jazz things when I've been playing in many bands. It's not bad if you learn some cool jazz guitar things. Maybe your dad needs to listen to some Naked City?
