Wasn't sure where to put this but while I was making some psy-balls today I was reminded about an anime that was made a few years ago that almost inspired me to start improving my own mental/energy abilities.
The anime is a
certain magical index or
to aru majutsu no index in japanese. It takes place in a scientific city where some of the residents are espers (humans with psychic abilities). Each esper is ranked from
0-5 (5 being highest and 0 being no powers) depends on how powerful they are and each person can only have 1 psychic power. They range from pyrokensis, clairvoyancy, telekinesis, electron/particles manipulation, teleportation, gravity control, mind control..etc
To make the world more interesting this city (and science in general in the world is anti religion and vice versa). Religious people lead by the church practice magic. I wont spoil the magic abilites for those who decide to watch it, but I really recommend it.
Tries to be realistic (with the psychic powers anyway) and does contain blood and death. Just a warning for people.
Both seasons (1 & 2) are 24 episodes long.
