What if we're actually looking through time on a regular basis? Actually, we are. How? The answer is the stars. Those beautiful tiny dots shinning brightly at night. Actually, those gigantic mass of energy are perceived by us lightyears away. Meaning about 6 trillion miles ahead, which is more than 10 thousand years from Earth. Technically speaking, we're seeing those stars as they were about 10 thousand years ago. So we're looking into the past. Maybe those stars don't even exist anymore. Maybe new stars already came but their light didn't reach us yet.
Space is full of wonders and interesting concepts. What are your thoughts?

I forgot to mention that same goes with the sun. A closer example. The sun as we see it, is actually as it was 8.33 minutes before. The reason is light. It takes a certain amount of time for light to reach our planet. So the shorter it takes, the less we look in time. The longer it takes, the further we're looking back in time.
