My Experience With Kundalini Empty
PostSubject: My Experience With Kundalini   My Experience With Kundalini EmptyWed Aug 19, 2015 1:32 pm

I don't really know where to put this topic, but I guess this room is more accurate. I just want to share an experience I had in the middle of a chakra activation.

It was late evening, and the sun had set by then. It was January 14, 2015 which means it was still icy, cold winter. Laying down on my bed, I slowly activated each chakra from top to bottom to avoid being overwhelmed with energy. When I reached my root chakra, I decided to give it more energy as it was the least active.

I had no intention to raise Kundalini at that time. All I wanted was to simply activate and balance my chakras. It happened instantly. I suddenly felt this snakelike energy rise and slither up my spine. It felt about the width of an adult's wrist and moved like a snake which felt like it was right below my skin. It rose all the way up to my head.

During this event, I felt bliss. My mind was crystal clear and felt incredibly light. I then immediately sat upright as I was quite terrified about this sudden sensation. Afterwards, I was full of energy. I could still feel the energy fountain out of the top of my head, which still does to this day. It's very subtle right now, but I, luckily, haven't experienced anything negative.

Days after raising Kundalini, my senses had become very keen and sensitive. The strangest experience would have to be smelling the scent of burning incense out of nowhere for a few seconds. It smelled like the incense in the temples, especially the one I go to during Chinese New Year. My dreams were suddenly so vivid and life like, that I would be lucid in every dream without being able to control my dream sadly. Many psychic abilities were enhanced for some time, but eventually dropped back to where I originally was only slightly stronger.

I noticed how there is nothing on Kundalini on this forum, but to those who don't know what Kundalini is, it is an energy form within all of us and appears as a serpent who is coiled about three and a half times at the base of our spine around the sacrum. They say that if you wish to reach enlightenment, you must have Kundalini raised. The energy of Kundalini is very potent and can actually seem hot. The energy is mainly feminine which can help release the creative side of you and help balance the masculine energies quickly and intensely. Many describe this energy as a goddess within each of us, waiting to unite the land and sky inside of us.

Kundalini can't be forced. It will be aroused and awakened from its dormant state when you are ready. Mine happened spontaneous with little force as I had no intention of this to happen. I never even expected this to happen as I'm just fourteen and turning fifteen next year! Now I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Hi Vega,
Thanks for sharing your experience here Smile, you said nobody talks about kundalini, today, ppl only practice
yoga or qigong just like a stretching exercise, they don't train a "traditional" manner practices I
guess, what you experience is the cool "sexual energy" which reaches your crown chakras. You might want
to consider reading Yang Jwing Ming's book on "small circulation meditation" on qigong meditation.

PostSubject: Re: My Experience With Kundalini   My Experience With Kundalini EmptyWed Aug 19, 2015 8:44 pm

The kundalini representation always reminds me the story of Adam & Eve where a serpent convinced both innocent humans to eat a forbidden apple on a forbidden tree. I'll stop right there and avoid correlating two different beliefs.
I haven't experienced kundalini raise business yet but yesterday I believe another sleeping serpent in me almost awakened, and not the sexual energy one as Jack described. After around 20 mins of meditation I felt overflowing and vibrating energy in my whole body. I noticed that this energy would carry forward one of my actions without me commanding. Like I would make my body shake for a while and the energy would continue shaking it. It's a good thing I can stop that energy pretty easily otherwise I'd be in some deep trance/seizure like state. And personally, I don't plan awakening kundalini or fully activating 3rd eye n stuff in the near future.

After reading about the side effects, I just dropped the idea about raising kundalini. Most people have kundalini forced when they were not ready which means they frequently had an overwhelming and at times painful experience. When my kundalini raised, I had no idea what it was as this isn't how many described it to be.

I've felt this energy too. It came to me whilst in meditation, a few months ago.
I once read a beautiful book of poetry from 14th century monk Shantideva called Verusus from the Center/re? and in that book tells a story of a man who was in prision. He was a Buddhist Monk, and once captured and denied outside life, he took refuge in meditation. He was an old man with arthtric knees and so he could not assume the traditional meditation stance of lotus flower. He meditated every day for 14 hours or more. As much time was allotted to him while he was locked up, until bedtime. He was a revered monk, of a very high standing, but he was denied a chair to sit in for meditation, or a comfortable bed, instead slept on a bale of hay with a blanket on the floor. He became adept at pyrokensis from the single candle that was granted to him. Taking refuge in meditation, eventually he never wanted to be bothered and when food would come he would never acknowledge the guards presence. He continues to meditated for many many years until he became enthralled in the energy, the transcient nature (finally we have words for this.) One day when the monk was disturbed, as soon as the door clicked open the guard saw no monk, instead a single butterfly fluttered around and flew out the bar covered window towards the radiant sun.

When I read that story, having no prior experience of awakening kundalini, I instantly thought of that practice in correlation to this story (paraphrased.)

Thanks for sharing the story, Liv. It is very enlightening to read. I can definitely relate my gentle kundalini awakening with the transcient nature the monk felt. It was beautiful to feel which made me not want to leave meditation despite being a little frightened, however it was night time, and I had to go to school.

Vega your experience with Kundalini was fortunate indeed. The usual process to wake the kundalini is from bottom to top chakra and not the other way around, since this can damage your nadi system. There are lots of kundalini yoga references around the forum in respect to the chakras and the ascension of kundalini. In kundalini yoga the purpose is to awaken the kundalini which is not an energy but a manifestation of your soul itself. This connection with your soul, lets you experience the communication with your higher self. As you can identify with your soul's essence which resides in the kundalini, your consciousness rises, you pick an altitude and you sustain it. Your souls is the true path to higher consciousness, because its a reflection of infinity. As you access infinity within you, the idea of being involved as an infinite being in an infinite infinity is what sustains your soul. As your soul acknowledges it's infinity as its nature you can experience infinity, you can channel infinity.
