The color purple has more to do with non-physical protection and your connection to your higher self/divinity. Also indicates a strong capability of psychic abilities.

I used to see smokey energy with colorful forms. depends on the color it might be good energy which u don't need to worry about. and I'm sure from your inner self you could know if its good or bad
