It is made of energy a living persons energy, it is the ethereal body used for when having out of body experiences and it is always connected to the soul. If you see your doppelganger, it is likely that you unconsciously did it, and it will do the usual things you do like going to your room and after a while they will disappear, especially when you are near, since it is easier to go back in your body.
