Wasnt sure where to put this topic but oh well, This isnt to invoke religion or get any sort of religious battle going on here
the ones i remember is

Elijah. he raised the dead, brought fire down from the sky, and was taken up in a whirlwind (either accompanied by a chariot and horses of flame or riding in it)

Moses, used a wooden staff which he could turn it into a snake and spread the red sea he could also heal people

Joshua was a man who could make the earth do what he wanted it to do eg generate earthquakes

Jesus could do many things like walk on water and levitate in the air he could also heal people, and he came back from the dead (just stating historical evidence here freinds)

what did these people do that made them so powerful as to command those things like they did ? what did they draw energy from? what did they do that we arent?

The Pharaoh said that his men could turn sticks into snakes too.

What i find interesting is the way these people are 'heroes' of the bible and yet we are frowned upon for using our abilities.

it does say the pharaohs men turned their staffs into snakes, but it also says moses' serpent swallowed theres up
indeed i am a follower of those teachings and i think that the father gave us these abilities to use and to do great things with them, i think what made people not want to use their powers is back when the witch trials where goings on people that used these abilities to provide for their families stopped using them out of fear of there lives ( not saying there wasnt witches ) and since then the practice of these things have been looked down upon and governments have tried to discourage the practice of doing these out of fear we could over power them these things are there for a reason but that reason has just been shadowed and discouraged
