Just came to mind, could it be possible to use chi to weaken objects for them to be ripped apart or broken easier?

Well trained shaolin monks know how to use their inner chi to enhance their personal force or resistance. They can direct chi to a particular area of their body or even project it, so yeah it is possible, if focused energy transcend the energy of the target.
