PostSubject: My TK Training Adventure   Wed Sep 23, 2015 6:09 am

So... I'm buckling down this time and doing daily TK training. I'm keeping a journal of the experience, and I'll try to upload it here in weekly installments. If I ever figure out how to set up my ipad so it can film my attempts, I might post a video every now and then, but mostly this will be a written account.

One of the biggest obstacles to my TK training, besides sheer laziness, is that after a few consecutive days of practice I get sick. It's probably because I start to see results and then push myself too hard. My last attempt before this one was about six months ago. This time, though, I'm experimenting with the "working through the pain" method. When I'm not at full strength, I'll be taking it easier, for sure, but I'm not going to quit the way I did last time.

So, yeah. I'll be uploading my weekly journal every Saturday. So look forward to it. tongue

Psi wheel-journal week 1

sat 9/19/15
Brief attempt. Mid afternoon. Abysmal results, but there was a small response. Perhaps half a rotation after five minutes.

sun 9/20/15
Brief attempt. Mid afternoon. Vast improvements from yesterday. Fan seems to have corrupted results terribly, but it was a confidence booster. Many rotations over five minutes. Remembered how to sit up straight to let energy flow.

Brief attempt. Night time. No fan, but great results. Sat up straight and high speed rotations were relatively frequent. (Fan might have been running without my knowledge. The one in the main room was going when I went out, and I think they're linked.)

Pressure in my deep nasal cavity. It hurts to swallow. This happened several months ago the last time I practiced tk over consecutive days. Last time I was sick for a week and this is my first attempt after that. This time, I will press on.

mon 9/21/15
I'm sick. It hurts to swallow, but my throat is fine. Headaches, dizziness, and low energy. I was nauseous earlier, but food helped that. Oh, I've got the chills too. I'm wearing two sweaters. Not sure if this is a moment where trying to practice again will make things worse or better. I'm taking the day off from class (except for physics, which is too dangerous to miss).

Temp: 99.1

Very Brief attempt. Mid morning. No fan. Slight movements. I stopped when I started to feel added pressure in my head.

Temp: 97.6

Brief attempt. Night time. No fan. About three full rotations. It was easier than before, but after a while the psi wheel stopped responding. I think I ran out of fuel. Seems like working through it was the right choice.

tue 9/22/15
My fever broke last night.(Hayley has been taking care of me and making me drink lots of water.) This morning, it seems like my cold has sunken to my chest. My head is still a bit heavy, but not achy. The dizziness is mostly gone, but my movements are still a little awkward. No more pressure in my nose. I have a slight cough and my throat is a little sore. It still hurts to swallow.

Very brief attempt. Mid afternoon. No fan. Zero results and even less patience. I lasted maybe a minute before throwing a temper tantrum and rage-quitting. Hungry, tired, sick, and stressed from my last class, I was not in the best position to clear my mind. It stirred up too much dust. I'm going to rest and maybe give it another shot later tonight. Watch some cat videos or something...

Thu 9/24/15
I rested for the rest of the day on Tuesday. I needed it. But then I had no time to practice on Wednesday because I had to play catchup. Today is a very busy day, but I will try to find some time to practice.

Fri 9/25/15
So, obviously I didn't find time yesterday. And although my cold is fading steadily, I probably won't get anything done today either. I haven't had a good practice session since Monday, the 21st, and I was very sick then. It's a little infuriating how difficult it can be to find just five minutes alone. If I couldn't type these journal entries in public, they might not get done either.

Well, whatever. I promised myself that this account would be as honest as I could keep it, meaning I have to document my failures as well as my successes. I'm not giving up this time.

I found out that I have the dorm to myself tomorrow. Opportunity!

So, I made my first attempt at filming a practice session. Nothing happens in this video. Honest, nothing, I choked. I don't know, I tried to put it out of my mind, but I couldn't quite forget that I was being filmed. So, yeah, nothing happened, but I'm posting it anyway, as something to compare to when I get better.

Oh, also, I've decided that I won't include filmed attempts in my journal entries, and I'll upload them as they happen.

The respective energy of your hands may eventually nullify with each other, thus causing psi wheel stillness or shakiness. I would get that sort of result when I combined both my hands during practice like a month ago. Have you tried using one hand only?

I seem to have lost my psychic energy for no reason. Or probably it was the wind all along. It's been one month and no results, I quit.

How often did you ''clear your mind'' with meditation?

Well when you told me to clear your mind i went into an alpha state and started focusing o my breathing. I also did another meditation routine where I just loop my energy while meditating to power up my energy, and when I did energy training this afternoon it seemed to have worked. I also seem to have a raise in consciousness and spiritual awareness. And I always see the number 666, the devils number wherever I look.

666, are you serious? If you're not kidding well you better watch out and not get hypnotized or even focus on everything related to that number. Thinking about it, I had a pretty awkward dream a few days ago and I felt like not so good entities were stalking me during my whole dream. Perhaps they were the puppet masters... You probably already know it but just try not freaking out too much and stay positive/zen/strong as much as possible against that bunch of negative stuff.

Sorry docemoon145 if we totally went off topic and you feel we ruined the flow of your journal. We may stop if you wish so and put this into another discussion. Smile

It's no problem. You guys can chat here if you'd like. And, no, I haven't tried using one hand. I should, I've been in a real psychic slump lately.

Also, sorry for the late update. I lost track of the day. Here's the latest journal:

Psi Wheel Journal - Week 2

Sat 9/26/15
My cold is all but gone and I have the dorm to myself--today is the day. I just got done with a workout (I believe it will be easier to channel my energy if I keep my body healthy) and I'm on my way to practice now.

Before each practice, I breathe much harder than normal, to make sure my breath doesn't affect it. I think my poor setup makes it more difficult. I should mention that my setup is slightly unconventional. I don't have any needles, so I eject about an inch and a half of lead from my mechanical pencil and perch it on that. It has a retractable eraser, so I can stand it up easily. However, the lead is slightly thicker than the point of a needle, and probably offers more resistance.

I meditated for twenty seconds before trying the psi wheel. (It felt like five seconds--I was surprised when I checked my watch.) The fans are off, and there is no air flow. Five minutes, from 2:45 to 2:50 pm. (I think I ought to keep a more careful account of the details.) I manage three quarter rotations within the first two minutes, and nothing after.

I feel a burst of adrenaline every time it starts spinning, and I'm not sure whether that's a cause or effect. Also, I noticed an odd sensation this time that I didn't have words for before. It felt like moving a tiny muscle. Like, I could focus and think, but, like thinking at your hand to move, that won't make it happen. It's a new muscle that I don't really control yet, and am barely aware of, and I can't assign it a specific place within my body. When it does move, they're small, spastic movements, like a baby twitching a smile. I'll need to focus more on this sensation in future sessions. Also, when the muscle is working for more than a second, there's a sensation like breathing, or a rush of air, but I think it's in my head--I mean physically I feel it happening somewhere inside my head.

I want to understand this, find better, more accurate ways to describe it, and learn to use it at will. It's in me--I know it is.

Sun 9/27/15
11:48 to 11:53 am. Fans off, no air flow. No results. Is this maybe a bad time of day for me? I'll try again in the afternoon and once more at night.

3:36 to 3:41 pm. Fans off, no air flow. Two quarter rotations. I haven't been able to get it to work long enough to isolate that feeling from yesterday. I felt something briefly the second time it moved, but it passed too quickly. I suspect I will see better results during nighttime sessions. We'll see.

Mon 9/28/15

9:35 to 9:55 pm. Fans off, no air flow. Not a thing for the first ten minutes. My results have been so bad lately that I pushed way over the usual five. I took a brief break to try and sharpen my lead a bit. It didn't sharpen much, but I got a quarter rotation out of it afterwards. Is the friction hindering me that much? I wasn't doing this poorly before. It would be good if I could get my hands on a needle--but where do you buy just one needle? My cough isn't quite gone yet, but seriously! When NOTHING happens, I can't tell if it's because of the equipment, or my technique, or my physical condition, or the environment or what. And when I don't know what the problem is, how am I supposed to fix it?

Wed 9/30/15

7:30 pm, just got done with a quick session. I didn't time this one exactly, since I was worried that might be something that was distracting me. Fans off, no air flow. Still nothing. I honestly don't know what I'm doing differently.

Next week I'll be visiting home. I'll steal a needle while I'm there. In the meantime, I might look into a different exercise, so I don't totally destroy my confidence.

Thu 10/01/15

12:35-12:45 pm. No psi wheel today, I just meditated. Figured it would be a good way to find out what the problem was, if it was me and not my equipment, but I suspect it's me. My energy flow felt... Shallow. Very shallow. I can't help but wonder if I'd used it all up before, and now it's recharging. That would explain the sudden drop in my immune system. I figure, either I didn't have a big supply to begin with, or I was using it inefficiently.

Fri 10/02/15

Ten minute meditation. I forgot to take the time.

Hey guys, sorry again for the late update. I was on vacation and I didn't have my computer with me. ^^; Also, like an idiot, I forgot to snag a needle on my way out. Looks like I'll be visiting the craft store sometime this week. A toothpick would be fine, but, I don't see how it would be that much better than the sharpened graphite I'm using. I really want that needle.

Sun 10/04/15

Oh sweet mana, yes!

7:44-7:49pm. Meditation. I feel it now. Odd. I think it’s distributed differently from before. Like, it extends farther out from me. Maybe it has something to do with all the physical training I’ve been doing lately?

7:50-7:55pm. Psi Wheel. Fan off, no air flow. Nothing at first, but I got wise and situated my pencil in a base, so it could stand at an angle, so the very sharp part of the lead would face directly up and the Psi Wheel could sit on top of it. Tested my breathing: no effect. Situated my hands on either side of the wheel. It spun gladly. I started off with a whole half rotation, then had fun with many (10 or more) quarter rotations, switching directions almost as I pleased.

I’m so glad tonight went well. So very glad. I also got a chance to examine those feelings I’d had last week. My tiny muscle analogy was flawed. It’s more like tiny spurts of energy running through my already existing muscles. And my head. Lots of stuff going on in my head. Mostly it’s pressure, but during the biggest spurts of psychic energy, the pressure lifts, and my brain “breathes.” I’m not sure, but my current hypothesis is that some energy found which neurons to fire or what path to take to rush into action most efficiently, rather than swimming around lost and clogging things up.

8:05-8:10pm. Meditation. There was still a lot of energy pooled up in my head. There’s still a lot, but meditating helped. Maybe this is why I seem to run out of energy--more than I use when practicing the Psi Wheel is still stuck up in my head, and afterwards it just gradually disperses, unused. Or it’s just a headache. Could always be just a headache. … Ah, it’s back. Thump, thump, thump, like my heart jumped up into my head. I hope I don’t get sick again. I’m still only 98% since the last cold.

Mon 10/05/15

7:55-8:00 pm. Psi wheel. Fans off, no air flow. Things are still going well, but I think I've isolated the pencil lead I'm using as a needle as the problem. Positioned well, the wheel would spin. When it slipped, it would fidget and try to spin, but the friction stopped it. Someone recommended I use a toothpick, but I'll have a needle soon, so I'll just hold out 'til then.

Tue 10/06/15

Today’s really busy, and I’m not certain I’ll get a practice in. Come to think of it, the rest of the week is even worse. But I had an idea for an experiment I wanted to jot down real quick.

I thought I might try making two more psi wheels: one bigger than standard, one smaller. I think it will help me understand how my energy is interacting with them, and where I most need to improve. If the bigger wheel spins better, it should mean my energy is scattering, and some of it is missing the regular sized wheel. If the small wheel spins best, then my energy might be decently focused, but it’s weak. If the standard wheel does best, then I’m balanced.

So, no journal upload this week because, well, I didn't do anything this week to write about. As an apology, I'll be uploading a video tomorrow. Fate just happened to hand me a needle, so I can finally do my training properly. I think I should tape it to something-- it's so short--but I only needed it for the tip anyway.

Also, good news, I'm finally feeling back up to 100% after my breakdown on day... Was it day three? Whatever, it's in the records, so I don't have to remember. I'm feeling very optimistic about this one guys.

I am very glad you created this topic for your journal. It is very inspiring, so I'm going to start trying harder to improve as well! I should also start commenting and getting on the forum more often to add on. I have been missing out on a lot of information since I just skim through quickly.  (' v ')

Wow, that's so great to hear that my little endeavor is inspiring somebody!

So, uh, I filmed my video, and I guess I'll just post it now. It's almost tomorrow anyway.

The whole thing was, like, 20 minutes long. I wasn't gonna cut any, but they said it was too long, so I chopped it down to the part where stuff happens. I slipped and showed my face... I'm still too tired to care, so whatevs. This was a vast improvement over my last attempt. Also, you're welcome to ignore my sleepy muttering.

My first time trying out the force push, I quickly figured out the force pull. I was excited about that, so I made a video. I'm not 100% yet, but I think that was pretty freaking amazing for my first try!

I am very bad at posting on time. ^-^;

Sun 10/18/15

Mornings seem to be the worst time for me to practice. Of the others: early/mid afternoon, evening, and night, none stand out to me as best yet. But I'm going to stop practicing in the mornings. Even if I just try meditating, something about my energy feels wrong. It's like being nauseous, but not in my stomach, and I get very irritable if I try to tap into that anyway. Maybe I'm just not a morning person?

?-4:12 pm. I think I overdid it. It must have been forty minutes of training between the force push and the psi wheel. Beginners luck; the force pull has left me--at least for the longer range practice I'm doing now. I tried doing the psi wheel without hands, and I actually had some results... So I just kept going until I was utterly physically and spiritually exhausted. I'm going to enlist some YouTube videos to help me vegetate.

Mon 10/19/20

1:49-1:59 pm. Force push. After watching a few videos, I kind of get that I’m supposed to try from farther away. Force pull wasn’t bad up close, but it gets exponentially harder with distance. Thus, after a certain range, the force push seems much easier than force pull.

It’s funny. Just waving your arms around really doesn’t do much. You have to use your mana (that’s what I prefer to call it. Sorry) to move it.

It’s hard to describe levels of success with this exercise, so I’ll just get a video up at some point. This is my new favorite exercise.

5:00-5:05 pm. Meditated in the sun set. It was really nice, but the place where I was started to get crowded, so I left.

11:30-11:40 am. More force push fun. I really like this exercise. For the psi wheel, I'm constantly getting distracted by the thoughts in my own head. But, since the force push (at this stage) requires movement, well, I have a hard time thinking and moving at the same time, so it keeps me from getting distracted.
I tested my range. The farthest I can be and still move the paper is about a meter. The farthest I can get the paper to move (starting at range 0) is also about a meter. I sense a connection.
After the basic training, I stood the paper up more and played a game, where I had my hands pushing and pulling on opposite sides of it. I tried to make it wiggle as much as it could without falling down.

12:15-12:35 pm. Force push. Not sure, but I think I might be getting better at this. I still need to move if I want the paper to move, but it's moving a bit more as I practice. I should practice more with that energy circling thing, but I'm having trouble finding it on the site.
