| Imagine you get a letter in the post saying "Congratulations you have been selected to be one of the people sent to populate 'New Earth'" You'd have to go there and live on the land. There wouldn't be much technology just the things you could take with you.
Would you go? |

| Yes. I'd bring a few textbooks and find myself a plot of land to.... experiment on. |

| You would have to try all the vegetation and lower life forms to find what tastes good. |

| It'd be a good excuse to become a vegetarian, too damn lazy to hunt. Shits too fast! |

| NASA are planning to send a manned trip to Mars. The bad side being that the journey will be one way. I read they are looking for a middle aged couple who would be happy to spend the rest of their lives together, alone.
Would be tough never coming back to Earth but it would be pretty awesome to be immortalized as the first man on mars. Be like the new Neil Armstrong. |

| That would be pretty awesome, I hope in our life time we'll actually have publicized space ships, better cities, etc., make our own earth better first. but the idea of colonizing another planet is pretty cool. |

| The problem of course is we'd need faster than light travel or cryogenic freezing of some sort. |

| Hunt for food seems like a good exercise. Both physically and mentally. Well, not if on a new planet, because then, you wouldn't know what the organisms like to do, except if you telepathically communicate with them. Maybe yea, vegetation and hunting would be a good way to experiment with the life on the planet. See if the extraterrestrial molecules are fit for human consumption. |
